Dr Chris Speed took participants out into Edinburgh’s Old Town and led them through an exploration of mobility in cultural heritage education, using the iPhone app Walking through Time, developed at Edinburgh College of Art. This mobile application makes available historical UK maps, enabling users to scroll through time and navigate places using GPS and overlays of maps that are hundreds of years old. Read more about Walking through Time here.
Some iPhones will be provided, but please bring your own if you can, with Walking through Time downloaded – we will send you details once you register.
